INT. HOUSE, SIMON'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Simon drives a pin through the beetle's back into a piece of foam. He sprays a heaping amount of silver spray paint on it as its legs twitch frantically.

EXT. HOUSE, LAKE - NIGHT

Simon takes out the silver beetle and pushes a fishing hook through its back. He un-spools a reel of fishing line tied to the hook.

Simon walks to shore and throws the beetle into the lake. He runs back up to the house, un-spooling the line as he goes.

EXT. LAKE - NIGHT

Dark water courses by off shore. A dim shape rises and falls with the waves. A log?

EXT. HOUSE, LAKE - NIGHT

The fishing line leading down to the lake slides a bit across the grass. Suddenly it WHIPS off the lawn, perfectly taut from the shore to Simon's window.
